The Carousel in Kansas City, MO, provides adult and elder care for adults with a wide range of physical and developmental disabilities as well as adults with traumatic brain injuries, serious medical conditions, and memory loss.

The Carousel works closely with families to develop an individualized care plan that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
Everyone receives a care plan which includes therapeutic services, medical services, nursing care, educational activities and social opportunities.
We have special units dedicated to memory care and veterans care.

Healthy Meals
Wellness monitoring is performed daily for signs and symptoms of health related concerns. Mental status changes and vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, glucose levels, and weight are monitored on a regular basis.

We are certified through the UDSA CACFP nutrition program. Everyone receives a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
►Breakfast consists of a serving of milk, fruits or vegetables or juice, and grains or bread.
►Lunch consists of milk, grains or bread, meat or meat alternative, and two servings of fruits or vegetables.
►Snacks includes two of the four components:
o Milk
o Fruits/vegetables
o Grains/bread
o Meat/meat alternative

*Everyone's birthday is celebrated with their friends at The Carousel. Family members and outside friends are more than welcome to join. We provide all refreshments unless the family makes prior arrangements.

We offer transportation to and from The Carousel.
At The Carousel, we are dedicated to doing everything we can to keep the adults in our care comfortable. We use fun activities, necessary medical services, and individualized care plans to ensure that everybody feels welcome and safe.
Guests are welcome at our adult day care program for 10 hours a day, five days a week. While they are here, we’ll make sure that they are carefully monitored and that all their medical needs are taken care of.
