The Carousel operates a medical model adult day care program licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. We provide services to strengthen and enhance the lives of adults with special care needs. We aim to maximize independence and prevent or delay premature institutionalization.
We provide care for adults with Down Syndrome, Autism, and other development or intellectual disabilities. We also serve adults with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. We also honor our nation's veterans through our veterans care unit (see FAQ section). Each participant receives a personalized care plan which includes therapeutic services, medical services, nursing care, educational activities and social opportunities during their time at the adult day care center.
