Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept Medicaid and long-term care insurance. 

What are your rates?

The standard full-day rate is $90 and half-day rate is $45. However, we also offer sliding scale fees.  Please contact us to discuss your budget.  No one is turned away due to their inability to pay the standard rates.  No one is left behind. 

WHAT IS THE PROCESS TO ENROLL AT THE CAROUSEL?

We want everyone who is interested in enrolling at The Carousel to come visit.  We offer a half-day visit at no charge to ensure we are good fit.  


Our Adult Day Care program is licensed by the state of Missouri. We are a Medicaid provider. If your loved one has Medicaid, you need to contact the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services HCBS Intake and Person-Centered Care Planning & Maintenance Unit (formerly Regional Evaluation Team (REV) at (816) 889-2206 to complete a phone assessment. You will need to provide the date of birth and Medicaid number of the person interested in enrolling at The Carousel. The Unit will assist you in enrolling your loved one at The Carousel.


If your loved one does not receive Medicaid, you may contact The Carousel to schedule an appointment to come visit and complete an enrollment application.  

Is there a limit on how many hours per day my loved one can attend the carousel?

10 hours per day (maximum of 5 days per week).  

What types of adults with special care needs do you serve?

We serve adults with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, memory loss, serious medical conditions, traumatic brain injuries, mental disorders, and mental illnesses. 

do you serve adults with Disabilities?

Yes, we serve adults with Down Syndrome, Autism and other developmental or intellectual disabilities. 

do you serve adults with alzheimer's?

Yes, we serve adults with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. We have a special care unit for memory loss that is designed to feel like home.  

do you serve VETERANS?

Yes, veterans are welcome at The Carousel. We are a community contracted provider with the Veterans Administration. We have a special unit dedicated to veterans care. 

Do you take people who are incontinent?

Yes, we provide incontinence care.  

Can my loveD one with a severe or persistent mental illness attend the carousel?

Yes, adults with severe or persistent mental illnesses are welcome at The Carousel.
